Sinking Feeling

by Robert   Nov 14, 2013

I fell within a darkness that felt like eternity
blinded by the countless choices I had made
a surreal appearance of what I might be
was only a thought that had sunk; lost in the deep

Slowly being dragged down by invisible hands
for the unconventional prison down beneath me
I pushed against the weight that held me so, but
the chains that shackled me would not let go

Still I felt that even though I sink
There may be some reason this had to be
Whether for another, or for reasons very well unknown
I fell within this darkness, and for eternity sink below

That sinking feeling once it grips you it just pulls you all the way down and climbing out of it is just difficult...I know. This message was well presented with your words...take care.

Robert, reading this I could see and imagine the struggle the person was feeling. You presented the message with "normal" words, meaning I didn't have to have the dictionary to understand what you were writing. As for the technical part, the flow is a little off but could be smoothed out with removing some of the filler words. Overall a good read and nice work.
