Memories [Acrostic]

by Forever Hers   Nov 16, 2013

Multiple pictures flash through my throbbing head,
Enraging a suppressed pain that haunts a heart;
Merely toying with the story that lies dormant on a shelf in my mind,
Offering me only a chance to remember the heartache, the sting of betrayal; a chance to
Remember what once was and how it ruined my outlook on so many things,
Instigating a battle between friendship and intense hate for one person; someone
Entirely nonchalant with the fact that they ripped a chunk of myself out of my soul,
Spiraling me into an abyss of burning memories, ones that stay locked away in a drawer in hopes of being forgotten.

    I loved how you described what bad memories do to your thoughts. The details here are very vivid. I agree your heart does want to give in to the sadness memories hold. It's very hard to over come what we cannot go back amd change. I think any simple thing can cause us to remember something we don't want to which is why I like the dorment line. Overall this is a very beautiful acrostic hun as you do well to stick to the one topic. I feel like also this could be based on a lot of peoples lives. Well done.
