    Oh Maple.. Your opening stanza is so breath taking, the word thy really stands out and for some reason I always love this style of language added into the style of new poetry. It just adds a bit extra character I think. Very nicely worded.

    The imagery in the second stanza was quite vivid, the way you interpreted the memories inside a basket, like they were overwhelming and so much of them. This also reminded me of how some people turn to alcohol because at the time, it promises to make those memories disappear, but then the promises become empty as we wake up the next day and they are still there in the basket.

    Your ending leaves a somber feeling of being trapped inside this situation, inside this state of mind which seems to imprison you, and although you want release, it never feels possible to escape these feelings.
