This is a really good poem Meme. I think to feel safe we all hide behind a mask. I thinl here though you are saying that this person was not honest to you. So their true colors show. The cost I think was maybe your trust thats what it seems to me here. Your heart is always the first thing to go and that is hurt also. What is the price of hurting someone? I guesz it depends on the person. I loved how you let your feelings out though usually they make the best poems and this was great

This is so true and has a great message behind it. Everyone has a mask they were whether they want to be truthful about it or not. We all hide our true colors one way or the other. Everything has a price, it just depends on what you are willing to give/take.

Who in d world dare not wear a mask, of truth for a while, of a fake smile n happiness.... N wen d world has slept so d masked one n its time 4 d dreams 2wear d mask....

Moral: Lot behind good lookin faces, masks hide a ugly character..... But d same masks make us reap wat we sow one day.... N d feelings, sentiments etc dat trusted d masked one just die. Ppl play various character actors say films n plays n ppl believe d mask d character not d tru person behind dat mask... N different ppl v different definition for d person vid d mask n vidout d mask... D true colours... Who knows which is tru.... Anyone can relate dis poem to deir own lives n d ppl around.... Awl masked... Colourful....to d eyes, dull behind it.
