I really like that this poem is not overpowered by sadness. It has the right amount that takes me into the scene of the poem. I like it.

On another thing,

I just have one thing to mention on this line:

"a melancholy face masked by a clever disguise."

Is it melancholy face? or melancholic face? I'm somehow confused on that one. One is a noun and the other an adjective. Other than that I like this piece.

Okay Sylvia sorry it took me so long to comment. I saw no technical thing that the other two ladies pointed out so will leave my thoughts.

I love the wording you used here. The man in the moonis a unique and I love it when its used. I like how you described him as blue. I think you make it out to be a real pperson per say. This person has real feelings amd I love how you said he is sad. You care and you want them to be okay. That shows the personality well of the character. The ending holds a sadness so well because you miss your love but I think what you are saying that they are watching over you and assuring that you are safe. Anyway. Overall this is a wonderful poem and you brought us a very strong message from such a short piece. Well done!!

I love the "Man in the moon" in the first stanza... It is a perfect description for a lonely man... Someone who is alone. I love the rhymes and the flow of the poem...
