Embracing Fear

by Jack Nightengale   Nov 24, 2013

Cold water rushes in, filling this space,
The deeper I sink, the faster my heart begins to race.
I swim to the top to gather some air,
But, the room is full and no one else is there.

Is there no one to save before I run out of breath,
I don't fear it but, I'm not looking forward to death.
Now I wish I could just go back,
But everythings fading, its all turning black.

I start hearing voices from inside of my head,
Then comes the monster from under my bed.
As they all surround me the water starts to disappear,
It all becomes clear as I start embracing my fear.

I do love your Dark poetry. This is a very good, description of how your fears can make it drown. Just remember that with every fear, there's a way to get rid of it and you can have help doing it. Great job!
