I was so happy, I forgot that happiness never last.
And now I'm sitting here being harass
By the thought of a painful past,
And a present secret of which I hold,
One of which few have known.
Sorrow filled hearts,
And hopeless dreams
Like the whole world just crashed on me.
And we laugh like fools
And sit around this fire
With our fake smiles and plague filled hearts.
Just left to wonder if its just a part,
A part of a plan filled with hope.
The one that He, Himself has wrote.
Destiny, fate, all in line,
But could it be all one big lie?
I sit and stare at the merriment,
Wondering what its like to be.
I sit, a sad soul, like playing make-believe.
Fake laughs, fake smiles, fake love, I know all too well.
I wonder if here is truly hell.
How could one be so strong,
To just sit and sing along.
A song filled with a joyous rhyme,
Hiding tears behind their eyes.
