Weary spider

by Watercolourz   Dec 3, 2013

Oh what tangled webs he weaves,
When the spider's on your sleeve,
As he skitters through the night,
There to amplify your fright,
Always dancing out of sight,
Shadows running from his might,
"Touch and weave", the spider goes,
When he stops, nobody knows,
In his path all others flee,
As the spider sprints with glee,
"When I'm done, they all will see,
The only one to fear is me!"
Spider, spider, burning bright,
Little monster in the night,
No one tells you that you're right,
But they always fear your bite,
You spin your web with such delight,
Another victim awaits tonight,
Your little fangs shine so bright,
As you stand upright to fight,
It seems another monster's here,
An even bigger puppeteer,
His yellow eyes so fierce and narrow,
An even stranger bringer of sorrow,
This new found threat is down below,
And the spider will now know,
This enemy has some fangs too,
And his skin looks like a tattoo,
He's filled with cracks and a bright green color,
But he's definitely not smaller,
The ground is where he slides with speed,
To satisfy his careless greed,
And then the spider realized,
That there's a snake beneath his eyes,
They stand still now, face to face,
To find out who will touch death's sweet embrace,
The spider blinked, the snake has struck,
The spider's caught, all out of luck,
So sad for you, oh fearless one,
As your eyes close, the snake has won.

Thank you mate! It's harder to write non-violent things than expected.
