The Well

(in memory of Tootsie)

Your body will always be infinite.
And I tunnel my way within
like a bucket;
always
falling.
Gathering a part of you,
just enough
to quench my thirst

    I kept wondering why this poem was placed under the sad category. Now I understand it, after reading "waving." It's interesting how at first read, I understood something different. For a moment I thought it was written for a sort of candy call "Tootsie roll" XD, now I am 100 percent sure that it wasn't. I thought you were sad because the candy got finished... As you tunneled it in your mouth to quench your thirst for more... And how its body will always be infinite... But something didn't make sense with that interpretation... that's one of the biggest problems I am faced with when reading poems, my imagination doesn't let me see the real meaning.

    Sorry.

    There is a deep darkness where the author takes bits and pieces of this person. By going to that place and remembering or that the loss of that person has created a well of darkness and you sit going through memories bit by bit to ease your pain..touching write.

    Congrats on the win.
