Daily ritual

I sit and think about what i have done.
I watch the blood begin to run.
I feel the blade slide through my vein.
I feel the sudden rush of pain.
And i am safe, in a world of my own.
A world where i am not alone.
A world where there are people like me
And all we want is to be set free.
But then i have to leave and come back to real life,
And all i have to thank is my wonderful knife.
And throughout that day i am dead,
Until tomorrow, when i can go back to the world in my head.
