Clouds imperfectly obscure the sky;
light shines through on those
who choose to look for it
and these few find their way
in the gathering gloom.

    Liked the imagery here, and the title itself gave me a secured position on how to view the poem and it's possible characters.

    I found myself sailing on a boat, watching the sky, possibly a few flying birds decorating it. Rays of the sun gashing through and through, illuminating the sea (though not part of the poem, didn't matter).

    That's one part, a sunny day... but I think it is more of nighttime. And the light shining through is that of the bright moon saluting a lost sailor in the sea.

    Just loved the different angles in this piece. Soft write, the speaker is gentle with words.

    And, sir, if I may say

    If the light cannot be found,
    In these times of dismay,
    Know that it is always dark,
    Before the dawn.

    Sorry for that Larry, I couldn't help myself, I mean no insult, but your poem inspired it. Positively beautiful
