I hate when people say "if you love them then you'll just be happy they're happy." Yes, when you love someone seeing them happy should make you feel happy but that doesn't take away the pain of seeing them with someone else. It doesn't stop the tears from rushing down their face when they think about how their love is not returned. Being in love doesnt mean someone else completely controls your emotions. It means hiding the tears and the pain to protect them from any pain. It's about telling them you're happy for them when they've found someone else. Them happy doesn't magically take away the pain from the fact that you're not.
