The World You Showed Me

I've started working on a goal,
One I never thought I'd work towards.
I met you so long ago,
But it feels like just yesterday.
How has it taken me this long?
I just started to move again,
Back to the world you once showed me.
It's still as bright as I remember,
But somehow I can bear it this time.
It feels different somehow,
Like this time I belong,
Or maybe this time I just want to be here.
I'm changing,
I don't really know why,
I'm starting to enjoy this path I'm on,
Even with the mountains I have to climb.
This world...
The one you want me to be a part of,
It's scary,
And so bright...
But I'm tired of the shadows,
And the fears,
I want to smile again,
I want to live for once,
Not just survive...
I'm going there,
To that world you showed me,
I'm going to LIVE!
I have a reason to SMILE!!
