Passion (Collab)

by Jenni Marie & Athanael   Dec 26, 2013

Engulfed within sultry scents
blazing flares of a phoenix reborn
breathing in flames as sacred
holy melting blizzard doors
embrace a devil unleashed

forms merge together, consolidating
primal urges, passion erupting
dancing demons and angels
sinfully kissing in Eden.

Lust, temptation becoming too
much to resist; arms interlacing,
basking in a shared moment of glory
too personal for others to share.

The use of language and imagery in this are wonderful. A seamless and accomplished write. Well done, both of you.
    All the very best,

The metaphors here are vivid and greatly written in my opinion. Though it is a collab you two worked well together because the flow and wording are amazing throughout and I didnt see any errors to point out :). I loved how simple the title is but it works well again because of the poem you wrote. I believe this poem is all about feeling lust for the other person. The first stanza is wonderful because it tells me that love or the fires are reborn within these two people. The use of Phoenix is great because of the imagery and the meaning behind it. I loved overall the tone of the poembbecause oh the mystic side of it. The deeper meaning is wonderful to me. And the end wraps it up well. The last line is powerful on its own. Well done.
