The first lines hold so much power to them. I think winter is a time a lot of people are sad which is understandable. When you lose someone close it's the hardest because you no longer feel that bliss. Yes of course they will always be in your heart. I see this poem as a tone of sad reflection and it's really really good. I can tell this is based on reality more than anything else. I loved the line your feet giggled as you watched sunset. That warmed my heart and I think it could be when you were little. This poem really touches my heart because of the memories you have shared. The ending is great too. You light candles.... and it might be the only light you hold. But they will always be with you no matter what. The imagery here is fantastic. The story holds a sad tone. But this is veryhheartfelt. My love to you. Well done. |
You are seriously one of the most genuine people I know, and I can just feel your caring heart through your verses. This is my second time reading this today and it affects me even stronger. As sorrowful as this poem is, it is one of my favorites by you because it shows that true beauty of knowing someone so good and pure. I can't imagine how much sadness you went through and still are struggling through. You brought such honesty to this piece it made me want to reach out to you. My heart especially broke at the part where you mention the green grass and losing them during such a warm time... almost like this winter is not capable of healing you. |
Winter is a beautiful season, however the one when we miss loved ones the most. |
Wow! So sad and solemn. A very good write! |

That snow flake that landed on the tip of your nose... that song you suddenly needed to hear... that little ray of sun peeping through the snow filled clouds... those are all signs... sit quietly with your eyes closed and listen closely for that quiet little giggle and feel that soft butterfly caress/breath on your cheek... always there... |

Very deep and emotional. Raw with sad passion. Beautiful in it's own way though. You probably don't remember me but this was a pleasure to read just as your others before. Hope you're well x |
