Last Dance

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 4, 2014

I've courted death all my life
as she was my future wife,
played the game nobody wins
committing all the deadly sins
drank the wine, stayed up all night.
surrendered without a fight.
In every single romance
I have had a last dance
I won't be broken hearted
among the dearly departed
