I liked this a lot Andrea and I think the imagery is very clear and vivid. The message more so is a lot stronger.I can see all of these ppeople looking up at a rainbow but I know the message is deeper then that. I believe a rainbow is a symbol of peace and I think yourppem is saying that we can all come together for that with no labels. I liked here how you used all ddifferent types of religions. We are all different but in the end we are all the same. We might all come from different worlds but this beautiful thing can make us come together. I loved the emotion and message in this. Its so interesting to me how you and I have different avenues of spirituality yet have such a common thread..that goes down to our core. You expressed that beautifully here. I love that while you and I believe different things, we still have this unspoken bond I can't explain. Youre one of the only people who don't believe what I do and call me a religious person - you know the difference and I think that's where we mesh so well. :) |
I love this poem from start to finish and it truly warms my heart. I am so happy we know each other from PnQ, and with others on here, our differences can still bring us together. I don't think I really believed in that years ago and part of it was I couldn't relate if someone didn't believe in what I did.... I was wrong then. And you have a beautiful soul in realizing this and sharing those encouraging words. We CAN live in unity and learn so much from each other, with that respect and admiration. I like how you mentioned the religious/spiritual parts you see around you as well, very neat! The reference to the Coca Cola commercial made me smile as well. We do need to look at the positives, similarities and see what we can achieve together instead of focusing on the differences. School just started for me today and I'm taking a world religions class (doesn't start 'til Wed.) and it's something I'm very excited about. It's inspiring to know how and what makes up our world. That even though we don't have those exact same teachings, those exact same faiths, we can still communicate, love, and create such amazing bonds. |

Andrea, the message in this piece is one that we all can learn from, we are all the same, we may have different views, follow different religions, rituals and believe in different things but in our hearts we are all human, with emotions and feelings, thoughts and dreams. We need to see what we have that brings us together and not be pulled apart by an opinion. |
What an absolutely refreshing read! This poem is so inspiring and one of every religion should read. There is a lot of judgement in the world and sometimes it can be overwhelming, but this poem is a little piece of peace that makes me smile. It gives me hope that one day, everyone will see just what you have wrote: that we are all the same, no matter what religion we choose to believe in. |

I've always told you if there were more Andrea and Chelseys then this world would surely know a better sense of peace. |
