Letting you go...

by The Fallen Angel   Jan 20, 2014

They are to say, letting you go
was one good thing, I ever had done.
But I fell apart, for you not so close
As you chose to leave, but I chose to stay.

Then have I known, you moved on
leaving behind all, that was once ours.
It took a while, to realize the truth
so I became late, to cope up with faith.

And today, when I overlook myself
I see a new me, all happy and glee.
As days pass by, I am to say
it will be, better than before.

But you are never to be forgotten,
yet we are never to be together again.
You still reside deep in my heart,
but memories are bound to fade away.

Now I too am to say, letting you go
was one good thing, I ever had done.
Though you are loved, and still remembered
Now I chose to leave, and be merry and gay.
