I also think of death when I first read this, however it could also mean entering the dream state when we fall asleep, That point where our mind wanders off free from the shackles of daily life.

This is a great short piece saffie! The first thing I thought about when I read this was death and I'm just gonna roll with that. Though I don't think you want to die, this is more of a metaphorical poem. I can see this person looking up at the stars every night dreaming of flying towards them. I did love the title greatly too. Especially temptation. It works so well because we are all tempted to want to live in the stars so to speak. I loved the word whispers as well like they are softly calling your name. The first two lines are filled with hope and you are in a dream like state. And the last line this is your final night. Overall this poem is sooo powerful in such a short time. I enjoyed the imagery very much. Well done. I would not change a thing!
