Heartbreaker

by Beauty In The Breaking   Feb 2, 2014

His face is so handsome,
his eyes will draw you in,
dark hair, dark eyes and caramel skin,
a smile that will slay you,
your heart won't stand a chance.

He's a heartbreaker, it's clear to see,
but you won't be able to hold it against him,
the sweet, good natured gentleman
with the trouble maker side beneath
is something you can't resist.

How do you combat such charm?
You won't walk away unscathed
even when you tell yourself not to fall
'cause a heartbreaker who cares
is the most potent of them all.

His gentleness and joking ways
will sweep you off your feet
as he jokingly plays with words
but reminds you that he's sincere
in every compliment he gives you.

Steel your heart but it'll do no good,
he'll still manage to slip right in,
Hispanic charm is not over rated
and southern boys will shoot for the heart,
how's a girl to ever survive them?
