Your Toy

by Miranda Brugger   Feb 10, 2014

She feels the pain
and weeps at night.
It's driving her insane,
she's putting up a fight.

The only way to save her
is for people to understand,
Now the lights must be dimmed
for her to again take his hand.

He lied to her and told her
that he would never cheat.
They were really meant to be,
there love could not be beat.

He has lost her trust,
but does he want it back?
Is this love or just lust?
Is it her trust he lacks?

No longer does she want this.
She wants the pain to end.
Walks away with just a kiss.
Her broken heart will mend.

The memories will fade,
but her love will never die.
In her bed she lay
feeling life was just a lie.

It was a night of peace.
her own life that she took
hoping her pain would cease,
tears falling onto her book.

All her grief written down
every night she did cry.
Never smiled, only frowned.
Her life ended with just a sigh.

Puddles of blood cover her bed
and she knew it wouldnt be long
until she would soon be dead,
and every memory of her gone.

The pain, lies and cheating
would soon be put to an end.
her horrible life couldn't be beat
suicide notes she would send.

The hate inside her strong.
The suffereing almost over.
The pain was almost gone.
She knew he almost won.

Searing cuts into her wrists.
All thoughts of him were gone.
He begs to have her, he insists,
but she continues to stand strong.

You cannot get to me
Im pushing you away.
Can't you please just see
This is my one last day.

You did this shit to me
and it's all your fault now.
I wished for you to let me be
Someone tell me how.

My mind's slipping for real.
My body's finally giving in.
You'll never know how i feel.
I'm committing my biggest sin.

My life has now vanished.
It's completely empty and void.
From my heart you're banished.
Never again will it be your toy.
