Just like us

by Robin Egg Blu   Feb 11, 2014

You looked at me today,
such disdain in your eyes.

I caught your attention today,
arguing about something you despise.

I was told you were looking for me today,
a stink bomb in my locker, are we really so juvenile?

Your eyes met mine in a glare today,
in our shared detention,

You shoved me against the wall today,
your body against mine, as your fist collided with my nose.

I fell into your arms today and for once you held me,
then proceeded the beat the piss out the idiot who pushed me.

I wrote a poem today that did not rhyme,
you laughed at it, because it was so like me to do it.
