This Ugly, Yet Beautiful World

by Marcus blake   Feb 12, 2014

We were moments in the pocket of our comforter
And I've seen my share of pain
Touched by chance like a thought held in the hands of a fool
We fell into the storm of our enemy
Once a friend now a stranger to my heart
As I lay in the bottom of cruelty
I see how far the sky really is
How far we really are from it all...
The truth Whispered to me from centuries ago
Lay on the same shelf's that stand to this day
And though we will always be ruin
I much prefer this beautiful yet ugly world over anything else
We may not have an eternity to live like gods do
But I do place my pleasure in forever's and fantasy
I look forward to the days
When the sky will be too far for me to see...
