Butterflies

If only I could put into words
how you make me feel,
or explain to you how you
helped this broken heart heal

if only you were aware of how
each time I glance your way
butterflies tumble in my tummy
each and every single day

if only you could see yourself
the way that I see you
you'd realize why I have
this picture perfect view

and though my emotions are
not always on display
each day I love you a little
bit more than yesterday

Sometimes I falter and I
may make mistakes
but when you're not around
this heart simply aches

and though I write
this on Valentines day
you should know, I don't need
a special day for this love
for you to continue to grow

    I am really happy you put a new poem up :). Butterflies is a perfect title I feel. Because love really makes you feel happy. And butterflies make you feel happy inside. You did a great job expressing how you really felt with the simple wording but you made the imagery vivid. It always seems like without the other person you feel nothing so I liked how you said that as well. The "double" side of love is a great thing to write about because you can express freely how it feels. You expresaed well how much you fall in love more and more and you male the characters shine in that way. I thought the last stanza rings very true. When you are in love you always grow. The rhyming was great too. It's simple but you got your point across well. Beautiful write!
