CARRY ON HARRY POTTER

by Jena   Feb 21, 2014

Walking forward, moving dead ahead.
Freezing, I pull my robs tighter around.
A single puddle lies ahead,
But I don't notice it at all.

Brain is thinking, death is on its mind.
Suddenly maddened, I scream out loud
As a single question crosses my mind,
"Why did Cedric Diggory have to die?"

No longer moving, I'm rooted to the ground.
Thinking back on that horrible moment with Voldemort.
A single foot hits the puddle in anger,
Spraying mud all around.

Thunder starts crashing, rain is pouring down.
Soaking, I glance all around,
A single street light flickers on,
As if to say, "Carry on, if only for Cedric Diggory."
