a time for lovers to escape
and kids run into the snow to play.
when sounds of sirens and Christmas lights
sound off loud and shine so bright
that beauty just engulfs the night.
when excitement and present depravity
keep the children under the Christmas tree,
and brings a man down to his knees
when he brings out a wedding ring.
as his lover begins to cry
because she cant believe her eyes
and it makes the beauty of the night
mean so much more and makes her feel alive.

gives everyone the perfect reason
to live and love and give away
and kiss and hug and laugh and play.
when the kids wait and set out cookies
expecting Santa to come and take them
and everyone is just so happy
because all the ones they love are with them.
when every single penny spent
is truly and solely meant
to show that someone that you're thankful,
that you love them and are grateful
of their presence in your life
and as a present of their right
you show them a tranquil night.
in which your love makes them say
