Something Great

A spark of hope turned a blaze
Hope once lost now flickers in my life
Burning passion that was once but a twinkle in my eye
I'm going off the deep end
Jumping in too deep
I'll either burn alive
Or defy my mistake
Succumbing to defeat
Either way I'll live or die on my feet
I stand
I stand for justice
I stand for peace
I stand for love
But most of all I'm going to stand for me
I choose to fight
I choose to live
I accept my fate
I'm ready to stand and do something great
My life has yet begun
Although so many years wasted away
Blinded by self loathing
Bound by my fears
Lying down in wait
