Comments : My Knight

I was going to say, upon first reading, that this does seem different than your other poems... I quite like the style, how your lines are longer as well. I can immediately tell how sincere and loving your words are to your husband. Each verse is so beautiful and to be treasured. There is such depth and emotion, taking the idea of him being a knight much further. I love how you honestly share you wish to die beforehand, if ever comes to that, because he has such strength and always has a lively spirit.

The part about not knowing how to grip a sword or face the dragon made me smile too! Wonderful dedication, I'm sure he'll love reading this :]

See.. and again I make my point. Your flow is flawless when you just write without thinking too much about how it looks or sounds.

This is another open poem, which I can tell was hard to write, submit, share. It shares your deepest fears and worries, and pain.

I think the idea of someone being your knight works so well here, it shows how brave and strong and protective they are, and then to think of not having them, sets alarms in your head that you do not even want to face, or think about, like denying this is a possibility,.

Another good point you made was how you express these thoughts onto paper, because through out the day, you cannot let the negativity creep in, it has to be the positivity that wins or else you would not make it through the day.

I especially like your wording of "defenceless" in the end. You explain this battle, the war, the knight, and then to end it with, you show your fear of being without this knight, because they are your everything, and you feel so weak and helpless if you are without them.

Another really deep poem, which I thought just ran so smoothly on the tongue, and easy on the eye, and just spoke volumes to me.

I relate to this so much, and know what this thought is like. It is a very hard struggle to go through.

Sending hugs, keep on writing these powerful writes, you do not have to hide with us. xxx

Andrea, I want to first off say that you are strong, and that the love you and James share is rare, beautiful and unbreakable.
This piece flowed perfectly because it was written from the heart, with truth and power and love. It showed how strong you both are and how much you admire him...it was sad but beautiful and so amazingly written. Brought me to tears...truly exceptional.

    Love always xxx
