False Kindness

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 27, 2014

Calm winds gently blew,
lulling the wandering leaves
to follow its enticing path.

The leaves crinkled with gratitude,
falling under the idea of kindness,
while the wind slyly whistled,
for it knew it had falsely gained
control and trust of the leaves.

And now the leaves
have decided to follow the
wind's path...

... they have no idea that
there is now no turning back.

Interesting isn't it on how easily we as humans fall into another's trap willingly due to false promises until its too late to back out. Life is such and I like how you have written this using wind and leaves. For those leaves are just like us. We grow, live and fall and someone charming comes along and blows us away...falling on the wrong direction.

I also like how you manage to keep your poems in the right length without using too many words and at the same time get the message across..well done.
