Chasing Time

by Michael D Nalley   Feb 28, 2014

We spend life chasing time
from the womb to timeless tomb
reaching for the sky sublime
in a universe with room
for infinite possibilities
where heaven is just in reach,
among other realities
in willing minds, hearts and souls
that must work with what is there
to pursue life's hopeful goals.
Father Time has time to care.

I liked this poem for the challenge, you used the prompt well, and told the truth of life. We spend too much time, chasing time, when time is not outs. We waste it, and then regret the wasted time.

I liked the flow you had throughout.

And the line about being in the womb, then he tomb, was so unique to describe the Start and end of life.

    Nice work.

That's reality, we spend too much time chasing time which we don't have, good piece. I love it.

I was unsure if this was written by you Mr.
But I think my intuition was right.

I did noticed the internal rhymes like womb and tomb in the poem. Meaning that since we are born to when we die.

There are a few others. I enjoyed this piece. Sorry for the rush comment. But great piece.
