I Had Faith in You

by Timothy   Mar 1, 2014

We take for granted every day,
The morning, the sunrise, and we don't pray;
We may talk to Him, but it's a superficial note,
A genie in a bottle, with every wish that utters from your throat.

Hell and Satan just doesn't seem that dire,
It's an idle threat to be cast into the fire;
We live well, we do what we can,
No one can be better than his fellow man.

But imagine when you stand before that throne,
And every transgression is flashed before you, and every sin is known;
You see the face of your Maker, you see the tears in His eyes,
And you know YOU were the one that made the Almighty cry!

You know Hell isn't enough punishment for you,
As the Lord's words pierce through you:
"I gave you gifts and skills to help all mankind;"
"You could have done My wonders, but you let it slip your mind,"
"I didn't want you to brag, and money doesn't mean a thing,"
"You once had the faith of the King of Kings."
"But now it's too late, and there's nothing more I can do,"
"Because you see, I no longer have faith in YOU,"
"Turn away, you must leave My sight,"
"Forever cast now, away from the Light,"
""You have broken My heart, as only a child to a father can do;"
"Leave Me now, I am ashamed of you!"

    This did all sorts of things to me. Just imagine one day we face our maker and is the good we do enough to erase the sins committed? A write that will make every reader to stop and re-think about life! Keep penning!
