I woke naked today from my slumber

First came the tea and Coke
And then we were on our way
Off to visit mom and dad
Get Corey, and be on our way
We went to Iron Mountain
To do the little things that we all do
Country Kitchen for supper, Walmarting
Suddenly special because I was with you
Shopping for groceries on a holiday
Kissing and cuddling through the store
Made a wonderful, loving change
Out of an otherwise mundane chore.
Stopped for fireworks on the way back home
Stood in the porch watching them rocket the sky
We've long waited for this day together
