Im not a mother

by Jay Colon   Mar 12, 2014

I'm not a mother but most mother's make a promise.
A promise to be a good mother.
Better than their own.
I'm not a mother but tell me if I'm wrong.
A mother is supposed to have their children interest at heart.
Be their children role model.
Support and help them through the obstacles.
Be that angel in disguise.
I'm not a mother but tell me if I'm wrong.
Children learn by example.
From what they live.
What they see.
I'm not a mother but tell me if I'm wrong.
Here's a little something you don't know about me
The woman who expects me to call her mom
She wasn't really around
I was always to myself
She was always put me down
Growing up with constant disrespect
She never accepted me
Discriminating because I'm a LESBIAN
Called me a freak and that I'm disgusting
quick to fight me but I have to give respect
meanwhile the man she's dating
threatened her and her kids
Stealing from her
A drug addict
Made her homeless
She refuse to harm
Respect him like he wears a crown
It's a shame my mother is my worst enemy
shes the obstacle trying to weigh me down
she's miserable
So Metaphorically
She throwing me under the bus
Stabbing me in the back
Im not a mother but I know love
Love is something stronger than any feeling of hate or fury
I can only take so much
A mother's love should be unconditional
Im not a mother but tell me me if I'm wrong
