Flying Away

by Illusion   Mar 15, 2014

I smile in pretence
not knowing my eyes is shedding tears.
thinking I could let you go
when I really want to hold you close.
It would be hard to carry the blame around.
It would be harder to carry the shame along.
It would just be worst thinking my love is gone.
we don't boast alot of good times
but I do cherish the little we had.
the beautiful things you said,
all the smile you put on my face.
I won't forget
all the promises I never fulfilled,
the beach fun we never had,
the petty fight we had along,
I'll be back in a month, that is closing to a year,
it was all like yesterday,
I do miss you everyday
but just lacking of good things to say,
I never plan to walk this way
waking to a day where love is yesterday,
they say money is nothing
but still prove to be something,
you could call me careless
cos I never keep you close to me
you could call me heartless
but you stole my heart from me,.
is really hard sleeping
when I couldn't proudly call you goodnight,
but is really hard calling
when there's nothing new to say,
all I could do is crying
watching my love bird flying away..

The hurt and love shine through throughout this piece. Guilt for not saying the things you should have or saying them far too late, the love you had for this person and the hurt because they are no longer yours.

    Great write, Em
