Psycho Bubble

"Psycho Bubble"
Chronicles of a Celestial Eyed goldfish

poem #124
March 15th 2014

Ever since the lightening
when the two plecostomus
entered our world from above
and chased the scary shadows
Reasoning our fears away.

The Plecostomus
in all their wisdom
brought clarity
to Aqua Abode.
Love, Happiness, Contentment...

Their accomplishments
are celebrated
by every paraphyletic.

Imagination itself cannot describe
what it was like
in the dark age of
The Algae.

Crystal beams of illumination
were extinguished
by a thick covering
of dark green hairy growth.

It choked our
very liquid breath.
Removed Day and Night
We had given up how
to Dream; lost all
Hope and aspiration.

Even our Identity
had vanished...
Ichthycide was rampant
No one traveled
in schools anymore
They had no wish
to even be a Fish...

The plecostol cleansing
sanitized the
outer environment
of Aqua Abode.
Our wide eyed lenses
are dazzled by
constant streaming
titillating the cranium
with 24 hour
feeding of the senses
as we dart to and fro.

But alas...
They couldn't fix
the broken Sole.
Inside still lurks
a murkiness
a desire longing
to see what lies beyond
the dark glass veil.

Part II:
"Celestial Simon"

The move was hard on Simon.
He was such a frail fish.
They said it scarred his psyche
when he was young.

He found his skull
and he just stayed in it.
But he has always known
always felt, that there was something more.

From within his skull
Simon could hear things.
They were coming from out back
out beyond the treasure chest
through the bubbles
of the sunken rock.

Some would gather there
to give obeisance
The clown fish and the Lions
would put their fins in the bubbles
and pout their mouths
out in a circle
in a pulsing manner.

But...
Simon could more than feel it
Simon could hear it
echoing within his skull,

"Everything good comes from above..."
"Everything good comes from above..."
"Everything good comes from above..."
"Everything good comes from above..."

As he poked his
big bubble eye
through the
sabertooth socket
secure in the knowledge of his skull

His gaze would follow the bubbles
to the surface
where they would vanish
where the water narrowed
and no fish dared to go.

Where mysterious oval
dark clouds formed.
bringing freely flowing flakes
like manna from the heavens!

No one gave it a thought
or even a care
long as their bellies
got what they craved
They cared not where
the sustenance came.

But Simon did
he got out of his head
and swam into the bubbles!
and went where they did!

Pushing him up, up, up!
He flew through the surface
Up where the water became
as thin as a fish Oasis.

His eyes couldn't take it
they became as slits
His fins slipped
as his tail and body twists...

But in that brief moment
as he broke out of space and time
soaring religious raptured excitement...
He caught the form of an ancient Giant!

As he splashed back down
with a new thirst for living
he zip zarted around
spreading the word as he was swimming.

But Simon was met with unkindness
Looked upon with scorn, contempt, and judgment
uninterested in philosophical discussions
didn't matter where he went.

Till one day he did retreat
wrapped in the comfort of Love
where he first heard the sweet beat of fate
"Everything good comes from above..."
