I can really relate to this poem well. It's really difficult when you feel like no one can hear your screams inside or out. I loved the use of eyes here too. Eyes canreally see into a soul and really tell the real story whether it be witj tears or hhappiness. The wording in the third stanza is wonderful because you start to say how you really are feeling. When you feel sadness or pain we all scream on the inside and the only person who can hear it is you. And when you hear nothing for a long time it gets very tiring. The last stanxa is very powerful. :). No one can hear or see what you are feeling and it seems like it has been happening all this person's life. Great write.

I really enjoyed this piece because at this time in my life, I can really relate to the feeling of being misunderstood and having no one to listen, feeling invisible and eventually silence becoming a normal routine.

You choose to stay silent because even if you spoke the words your heart screams, they would go unnoticed or misunderstood. You feel helpless and alone because no one cares enough to listen or tries to understand anything you say.

    "Silence masks the pain
    that is hiding
    behind her eyes."

^ I love that! Silence hides the pain that lingers behind your eyes. I agree with what Beautiful Soul stated, that eyes see into a soul. You can definitely see when someone is struggling just by looking into their eyes.

Screaming inside used to be somewhat of a release for you but after so long of being hollow inside, it's pointless. I like the usage of the echoes because it definitely showcases the hollowness inside.

While pondering why no one listens to you, you realize that you never listen to yourself either.

I just realized that I wrote this entire comment with saying "you" feel, when in the poem it says "she"...and I'm too lazy to go back and change all my you's to she's, lol. Either way, you get the idea of what I'm trying to say. :)

I guess if more people take the time and truly listen there would be less misunderstanding. There is a big difference between listening and hearing what we are saying. And that is the reason why we keep it to ourselves. Great write
