The Connection

by Gianna Cranston   Mar 19, 2014

Seven years I gave him thinking it was right
How could I have known, compared to you, his "love" was a joke.
It was like all the love stories, the ones that start out with love at first sight... kind of

I remember seeing you, I remember what I instantly felt. An intense attraction, lust to be sure.
But there was something else.

I tried to fight it, but your smile with your dimples and your sweet and sultry laugh kept pulling me in.

Every time you brushed against me, my body shuddered in response. An accident you claimed, but the fire in your eyes told a different story.

I still couldn't figure out what that something else was.
Or I knew but I wasn't willing to admit.
And then you held my hand for the first time, and it clicked.

It was like fire and electricity, nothing I had ever felt before.
The connection, our connection left me feeling whole, complete
I never believed in soulmates until we touched, and my soul sighed in relief.
