they make you drunk--make you see
yourself spinning in counterclockwise between swirling floors and ceilings;
the world as a man somersaulting
in an endless kaleidoscopic spiral.
But words intoxicate you,
just to make you sober.
Words are like drugs:
they make you high--make you see
yourself drifting like a multi-colored, unknown being into candy black holes;
the world as a woman dancing
in vague psychedelic movements.
But words narcotize you,
just to make you see what's real.
All of us are just intoxicated, narcotized words
seeking for meaning in a wild sea of beer,
in a sniff of meth.
