Take Me Under Your Wing!

by Bonaventure Onuabuchi   Mar 29, 2014

Would this be a dream of reality?
That we were brought together,
by the wind of attraction.
We met on a cage,
with each wearing a surgical mask,
not yet unmasked.

You victimized me by love and concerns.
With your tender care and voice,
you threw me into a ravenous appetite of hunting for more.
Directed the wind of my thought to your direction.

Like the beauty to the beast,
you saved me from sheer boredom.
That I know you wouldn't know,
that your heard voice is a companion in my distress,
my joy in sorrow.
Your typed words left in me,
a cheerful memory crowned with immortality.

Now you did left me a victim of love,
paralyzed emotionally,
I wouldn't fail to ask,

Will I be save under your wing?
Will you increase in me the joy I derived from you?
Will you provide my shelter if there came a storm?
And will you give me a tune in my lacks of melodies?

Let tribe be a distance apart,
and not a disadvantage.
Let religious fanaticism extreme,
but not an instrument of separation.
On your judgement I rest the case.
On your reaction I do plead.
Be it negative or positive,
Remember to TAKE ME UNDER YOUR WING
