The hibernation in the heart line, wow! What a description, holding things so deep inside that they become lost there, and buried within. I relate this to secrets, addiction, things you hide so deep down that you do not want others to see, or want to face yourself.
I like how you end with reasons breaking through, I think a lot of people struggle with something, like drinking, and then there will be a reason that suddenly appears to change their ways and beliefs. Sometimes it can be a new birth, or a loss of someone, or a scare for life etc. Sometimes it even just comes from within yourself and you suddenly do not want to hold onto this thing anymore.
I thought you done well with this one, and I really like how you had the title so powerful, and yet did not mention it inside the poem, we more or less had to take the title as part of the poem and the meaning, which I like being done with poems!
