Stars Will Fall

by Spectacle of Serenity   Apr 3, 2014

In the stillness of the night,
I am sitting waiting for my knight.
Each evening I pray with all my might,
That there will be a star falling tonight.

Dreaming dreams of you and me,
Feels everything so much a childlike glee.
Although I know in reality I flee,
oh please, just let me be.

Cold air lingers my skin,
When i take a little sip of gin.
Up above I then raise my chin,
Glorifying all celestial bodies therein.

Wish I could hold you,
Wish I could have you.
I wish all these wishes will come true,
As to when that I dont have a clue.

For the love I've been longing,
Hoping for the perfect timing,
I'll just gonna sit here waiting,
'til stars start falling.

Very well written. It was a very good piece, each stanza seemed to add depth. Each line was powerful and complimented the one before it and after it. It painted a sad and romantic picture, to me at least.
