Morning Dews and Thorns

by Everlasting   Apr 4, 2014

I miss you like petals misses the stem.
Without you, I have no roots, no place to bloom.
I'm dried, bound to turn to dust.

I guess that's all there's to love.
A mound of dirt, a seed, a rose.
First a bud, a kiss, a touch..
then the rain, a storm, a sun.

And finally, a dew,
morning dews, tear drops.
thorns sting fingertips, blood.
a flower hits the floor, petals wander lost.

I guess that's all there's to love.
A mound of dirt, a seed, a rose.
first a bud, a kiss, a touch...
then the rain, a storm, a sun

That's all there's to love...

morning dews but mainly thorns

I miss you like petals misses the stem,
I have no roots, no place to bloom,
Without you.

Lucero I bow to thee!!! this is an inspiring write, i've always like your writing but this for me is stunning, if I could nominate it I would because the way you control the reader in this piece is masterful!!!
