Mea Culpa

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 14, 2014

This mirror lies, it is a false witness
for it depicts my chest whole and clear
without revealing the scar showing
my heart was torn out right here.

You always said that you'd be there
yet never could put it into something
more than just words, loving actions
were foreign and now you're nothing.

Here I stand empty where you stole
my future blaming it as just a break;
but now I know better it was not you,
it was none but my own mistake.

    This poem by Larry, is very touching, deep and personal.

    To look in the mirror can reflect and image but also memories. It brings out a very large variety of feelings.

    To reflect on what happened and how it makes us see our own shortcomings and downfalls. It can also help us see how we can overcome the pain of the past- Just a very touching and heartfelt poem by Larry this week.

    This is simplistic elegance.. it flows and grabs the readers attention from start to finish. Well done-
