Coffee!

by Chris Swiderski   Apr 20, 2014

Energizing, sweaty bean juice of delight
How warm and inviting you are to me
Each morning, sipping upon caffeinated rapture
A day without, is a crazed and lazy eon

Drinking deep this very second, every second
Any moment; For which to quake and muse me
Used up and again, boiling pots of my liquid friend
I shudder at the thought of your emptiness

Encasing myself in your insidious maddening
1 lump or 2, it matters not the amount
Black as night cravings, I'd drink you flat
Take you down in creamy dreams

For you are more to me
Than all the water in the seas
I'd swim in you for eternity
Till I sink into you
I'd be lost without my coffee
