The Outhouse

by CarnivorousCoffin   Apr 23, 2014

I can't recover,
I want to relapse.
I can't recover,
I want to relapse.

I can't feel anything anymore.
Your noose is choking my screams.
Living in this harsh reality,
I only find peace in my dreams.

This pill is a hard one to swallow,
Maybe if I take enough,
I won't wake up tomorrow.
People will cry out my name,
but sadly they're the ones to blame.

Can't they see,
What they did to me?

I want to recover,
but I relapsed.
I can't recover...

This is a heartfelt piece, and it's dripping with sorrow.. now if you take the title "outhouse" use it as a metaphor, along with your feelings it can take on a very powerful meaning indeed. Just a creative idea and suggestion. You might try a part two to this as well, using a suggestion as stated above. I always like to give ideas if I can.

This piece is such a powerful poem and I am thankful you shared this with us.
