Music is my band aid

by ah satan 666   Apr 23, 2014

It's what kept your mind strong,
When your body became week...
the tone to your attitude,
When you saw tears down my cheek.

From dance; to hard house,
A little country, spiced with rock...
The timeless entertainer,
to the slowing body clock.

A pinch of hip, to go with your hop...
And the groove of your soul,

Music was your band aid...

And now,

it's your music keeping me going...
Keeping me whole.

Six months have gone so fast,

In loving memory of

Alexander Jarvis

This is such a beautiful poem, it really shows the connection, the depth in relationship that you had. The loss and the memory of him, and how he still lives on within you.

I really like how you use the different types of music in the way you have done, the hip to your hop! That was a great line.

I also like how music seemed to be his way of realise, how he coped. And then towards the end of the poem, you show how it has now became a part of your release and how you cope now. Also how it still keeps you connected to someone you love and miss so dearly.

Very touching poem, written beautifully. Well done, nice to see you writing again xx
