Siren of the North

by Jack Nightengale   Apr 24, 2014

O sing the song I long to hear,
As thou watery grave comes near.

Stop not at the depths of thy heart,
Journey with bowels of thy soul, rip the darkness apart.

Come thy dark mistress, muse of thine ages,
Open thy lore and rewrite its pages.

Slowly thou sinks further in thy watery trip,
As life slips from thine frozen grip.

Continue thy song with a name to come forth,
Please don't stop singing my lovely siren of the north.

Point taken so many times the spoken word is (from my heart) as if that is all you have to give. And your choice of words here show that there is so so much more when it comes from the soul. Thank you for sharing.

Love how it flows and this poem makes me laugh a bit because sirens are fiesty creatures luring poor souls to their own deaths anyhow 5/5

Thank you. Its just the start in a saga but its basrd on a siren that tries to change her nature in a way. :)
