Her breath is
raspy, quiet; almost
too low to hear over the
Crashing Waves.
My hands shake as I
wipe away the
Cascading Tears
that Stain
her beautiful face
I'll miss you
I can't bear
The Sound
The Sight
The Thought
I'll be waiting for you.
The Last Words
that leave her lips
The Last Breath
that escapes her lungs.
A hand goes limp in mine
and something in me
Breaks and
Snaps and
Cripples.
And suddenly the
Sea in front of me
that used to be so
Vibrant is now
Poisonous to my heart
Bleak to my eyes
And empty to my soul.
And now as I gaze
over the crashing waves,
the Choppy Waters
that threaten to
Consume Me Whole
I can't help but wish
I could leap off this cliff and
Let the waves claim me.
