Continuum

by Karla   May 14, 2014

In the shadow of his heart,
had he hid me
as the sunrise failed us
and mystery had a place
above the clouds.

i remember i used to create
suitable illusions
and the beauty of my ingenuity was
everything i possessed
because it made me transcend myself.

when i look back in anger,
i know he will be the damnation
i carry like a badge,
the echo of the future
i can't hear anymore.

he taught me there was nothing
outside me but i found
there is nothing inside me
either since i lost
my unexpected guest.

but what is he
after the safe comfort
of yesterday?
just a disheveled god,
a shadow in my heart.

There is a mix of emotion here, one that starts with a smile and ends with anger. Yet the passion is still visible. It has a tone of sadness as well as strength..take care.

Lovely poem, but if there is nothing inside and nothing out, I must say you fill the space between with pure magical words

Karla there is always such beauty and sadness in each of your poems. Here I saw the love you had for this person. I think here you are saying that this love made you so much stronger and "hid" you inside his heart. Which tells me this love was truly mutual and real. There seems to be a lot of emotions in this as well. The love and happiness you had together. The sadness of loss it seems and the anger of life taking your love so soon. You can really feel and hit the reader hard. Nowadays you are lost in this world and more sad. Lovely write!!
