Moon and Stars

by Biancas Veil   May 18, 2014

My sun won't rise,
Nor my moon fall,
No blinding days to highlight,
No pitch black nights to hide.

To see the soft light of a waining moon,
Stars sprinkled across the Milky Way,
Lying in this field I turn to you,
I can see your sweet smile though the details are few.

Everything Muted by moonlight,
It's not your body that entices me,
It's not the day light that shines on your beauty,
Or black night that hides you as your words woo me.

It's the moon and stars above,
I can see you speaking to only me,
Feel the love as we embrace,
Nothing highlighted or hidden it just is as it is and our souls interlaced.

The last line of this piece is lovely. I love the "Everything muted by moonlight" line too. Lovely imagery throughout.
